Tina Hashemi is a jazz singer who recently graduated from the University of Virginia, where she studied music performance and jazz voice under Stephanie Nakasian, Danielle Wertz, and John D’earth. In her final year, she completed an album of originals and standards entitled “Nobody’s Heart.” She swings and sings with a pure, unaffected tone that brings a sweet sensibility to the classic jazz standards and repertoire of the Great American Songbook.  For this performance, she is accompanied by guitarist Chris Whiteman, bassist Paul Langosch, and percussionist Emre Kartari.
