Lake Anna’s Water Quality has been a hot topic as of late and we understand that residents and visitors have questions about the most recent information from state and local authorities.
At Pleasants Landing Marina, we wanted to compile official information in one place to make it easier to make the best decision for visiting Lake Anna.
As you can see from the map above, Pleasants Landing is located at the very south end of Lake Anna, where the water is much wider, whereas the swimming advisories for the HAB (or algae blooms) typically issued occur on the Northwestern end of Lake Anna, where the water tends to be more shallow and creates an environment that is more susceptible to algae bloom.
Typically the south end does not have to participate in the VDH HAB swimming advisories.
