Lake Anna Fireworks

July 4
PleasantsLandingFireworks image

Pleasants Landing is one of only a few spots where the public can watch the Lake Anna Civic Association’s amazing fireworks show!  Our beach has a great view of the show approximately 3 miles to the northwest over Dike 2.  If you’re planning on attending, here is the schedule for Saturday:

9:00am – Park Opens – Park Passes (wristbands) are required ($10 for adults, $5 for kids aged 6 to 15, kids under 6 are free!)  Once you are in the park with your passes, you are welcome to stay in the park for the rest of the day (including for the fireworks).

6:00pm – Entering the Park will shift to a “Fireworks Fee” of $10 per vehicle, which will be charged when you enter.  We will continue to park cars until our general parking area fills to capacity.

A few notes:

You are NOT permitted to park on or in front of our neighbors’ private property.  Doing this will only endanger events like this from happening in the future.

You cannot park and block vehicles (stored or others parked on the property.  Everyone needs the ability to move their vehicle if necessary.  If you are blocking ingress or egress for any vehicles, this creates a dangerous situation.

If you venture past the gate near the boat launch, you will have to pay $5 to leave that area.  The gate is automated and only accepts cash (a $5 bill or 5 $1 bills are required).

The parking area is to the right near the entrance gate.  There are limited handicap spots and 20 minute only parking for carryout customers to El Gran Patron and the 20 minute limit will be enforced.

If you arrive by boat, all of our boat slips are leased annually by private owners. You are not permitted to park in these spaces, as the owners will likely be returning before you leave.

FAQ:

Can we bring outside refreshments?

The forecast is calling for extremely hot temperatures on July 4th, We encourage you to bring cold drinks/refreshments for your safety.  You are required to take any trash you create with you upon exiting.  We also recommend lightweight clothing, hats, and sunscreen!

Can we bring our dog?

We normally welcome well-behaved, leashed dogs at our park, however for this event, we expect a higher volume of guests, are concerned about the heat, and dog’s reactions to fireworks, so we ask that you leave the dogs at home for their safety on this date.

Can we bring small tents?

We are usually fine with small tents and will be throughout the day as the temps will be high during the day.  As the sun sets and more people arrive, we would ask that these be removed to keep everyone able to view the show.

Can we bring our own fireworks?

This is a big NO.  Our property contains a lot of property of our customers and we will not allow any outside fireworks on site (this is a standing rule at all times) and they will not be tolerated.
