✅ General Requirements

• Must be 27 years or older with a valid driver’s license to rent and operate a pontoon boat.

• Boating safety certification is required per Virginia law. If you don’t have one, a temporary boater’s license can be obtained by completing the online course here.

• The maximum capacity must not be exceeded. Each boat has a listed passenger limit.

• All guests must sign a rental agreement and waiver prior to departure.

Rental Times & Policies

• Full-day rentals only. Boats must be returned by the designated end time to avoid late fees.

• Please arrive promptly for your reservation for check-in and safety orientation. Daily Rental hours are 9am to 5pm.

• Boats go out with a full tank of gas and must be returned full. A refueling fee will be charged otherwise.

• No refunds due to weather or early returns once the boat has departed the dock.

Care & Responsibility

• Renters are responsible for any damage to the boat or equipment during the rental period.

• Please clean up all trash and personal belongings before returning the boat.

• Any lost items or excessive cleaning may result in additional charges.

Navigation & Boundaries

• Stay within the designated rental zone on Lake Anna. Maps and boundaries will be explained at check-in.

• Avoid shallow or restricted areas to prevent damage to the prop or hull.

• Use anchoring only in approved areas. Ask staff for suggested swimming and picnic spots.

Prohibited Activities

• No grills, open flames, or glass containers on the boat.

*Your certificate must be presented to rental staff when you arrive for your rental period. Certificates obtained in other states are valid in Virginia.

*Your boat rental must at all times be operated by the certified person and  must carry the certificate with you at all times, digital or printed rcopy.
