Construction / Park Maintenance

We are seeking an individual with hands-on experience in maintenance and construction – a true hands-on position!

Job description

  • This position will require you to work indoors & outdoors, depending on the project.
  • From 10-20 hours per week
  • You must have a driver’s license, a good driving record, and  reliable transportation.
  • Must be a high school graduate, college students welcome to apply
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and be on your feet most of the day
  • Must possess great communication skills (both written & verbal)
  • Construction and/or landscaping experience is a plus!
  • Candidate must be familiar with power tools, riding mower, etc.
  • Experience with any tractor is a plus
  • Construction background and any boat experience would be beneficial
  • Successful candidate must monitor the park and its facilities and help identify any necessary maintenance, including but not limited to beaches, docks, storage, pavilion, and rental equipment\\
  • Some duties include pressure washing, maintaining boat slips, some dock repair, minor landscaping, property maintenance and assisting our lead handyman with new and ongoing projects
  • Part-time / Project basis

Seasonal Park Attendant

Job description

  • Pleasants Landing is a recreational park open to the public with a full-service marina. We offer our guests access to beautiful beaches, shaded pavilions, picnic areas with grills, a volleyball court, cabana/kayak rentals, and a premiere stage to host concerts and other community events.

Our goal is to provide the Lake Anna community with a family-friendly park to relax, have fun, and work with local organizations to host events dedicated to good causes, as the park seeks to hosts charitable events.

Responsibilities: Performs a variety of tasks to support the continued operations of the park, including:

  1. Monitor park and its facilities: beaches, pavilions, grills, rental equipment; identifying any problems or maintenance needs.
  2. Greet park guests, ensuring they have purchased a park pass and have received and are wearing the Tyvek bracelets that serve as park pass.
  3. Assist park administrator with office needs: answering phones, responding to general emails, data entry, creating brochures and flyers for park events,

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $12.00 – $14.00 per hour
